ABOUT US

Bae Imports was established in October 1983. It is and always has been a family owned and operated company. Phanjaphon Asavarahapun (most of you know him as Paul), founder and president is originally from Nonthaburi, a suburb of Bangkok. He moved to the beautiful city of Seattle to attend the University of Washington. Upon completion of his degree and with great enthusiasm he entered into the Gem and Jewelry business and has been here ever since.

Logging over two million miles during his career, Paul has traveled the globe looking for the perfect pieces to suit our customers' needs. Having long standing ties in Bangkok has definitely been an asset during the last 20+ years, allowing us access to vendors that would normally be out of reach.

Recently the second generation has come on board, to learn and expand the business, bringing it into the new millennium. Montiya Asavarahapun (most of you know her as Tiya) grew up with both parents in the business, it was an obvious choice to begin her career with Bae Imports, also after completing her degree at the University of Washington. Unexpectedly finding a genuine passion for gemstones and jewelry, although who wouldn't have a passion for some of the most beautiful objects on earth, she has made a commitment to the industry and to Bae Imports' customers, to continue in the tradition of excellence that you have all come to know and trust from Bae Imports.
